About Dean & this journal

I live one life.

Diabetes is part of it. So are fatherhood and the work I’m building.

I’m Dean Lambros, a single dad and co-founder and CEO of Holistic Tech Solutions Group. I’m starting this journal to document what living with diabetes looks like in the context of my own life.

I want to write about being a parent, carrying the responsibilities of a business, and living with a condition that belongs in the story too. I also want to leave room for the parts of life I enjoy.

Life on insulin

I’m on insulin. I have a conversation with myself about my mortality every single day. It is what it is.

That’s a conversation I want to have here. It can be serious and still have room for a little humor. Hence the cartoon version of me leaning on an oversized syringe.

Why put it into words?

I’d like to speak with people who have diabetes and help them one day. For me, that begins with documenting my experience honestly, as it happens.

My first essay, I Live One Life, includes the sneakers I’m trying to remember for my daughter’s gym class. It also gets into the garage office, the business, and what being able to adjust my day means to me. That’s the context I want to keep.

The work comes with me.

I’m also interested in conversations with pharmacy and pharmaceutical teams about their software. My experience building software and my experience living with diabetes both belong in that conversation.

You can explore the company at Holistic Tech Solutions Group, read my broader work at DeanLambros.com, or get in touch.

About the images and the writing

The portraits and illustrations on this site were created with AI using reference images of Dean. They’re creative images, rather than photographs documenting particular events. The caricature uses the same character design created for his personal brand, with an oversized syringe added for this journal.

The site’s introductory copy and design were prepared with AI assistance from Dean’s spoken brief. Individual essays retain their own editorial disclosures.
